This week Alfredo Oyaguez (piano), Andrew Smith (cello), Tom Stone (violin/viola), Cecily Ward (violin), Doris Stevenson (piano), and Zuill Baily (cello) continue to share their talents with us, and are joined by Trio Jinx. This unique classically-based trio consists of Louna Dekker-Vargas (flutes), Ledah Finck (violin/viola/composition), and Yoshiaki Horiguchi (double bass) and has been described as “turning the classical concert into a jam session” through the use of improvisation and folk/jazz styles.
Trio Jinx first performs on Wednesday, June 13th at 6:30pm at the Cafe Concert at the Mean Queen in the heart of Sitka. Enjoy a slice of pizza or two and a beverage while experiencing the talents of this lively trio in a more relaxed environment.

Friday, June 15th will feature another Evening Concert in the Harrigan Centennial Hall on the waterfront in downtown Sitka. A short, optional pre-concert conversation will begin at 6:45pm, with the concert beginning at 7:30pm. This concert will feature music by Debussy, Liszt, Rachmaninov, Chopin, de Falla, and Granados, as performed by Zuill Bailey, Doris Stevenson, Tom Stone, Cecily Ward, Andrew Smith, and Alfredo Oyaguez. Also, come down to Crescent Harbor this Sunday, June 17th at 3:00pm for the famous Sitka Summer Music Festival Crab Feed! No music, but lots of delicious Dungeness crab and wonderfully community.
